These terms are the agreement between you and Rewritly for using the Rewritly app and website. We've tried to keep them short and clear. By creating an account or using Rewritly, you agree to them.
The short version
- Your writing is yours. We don't store it and claim no rights to it.
- 7 days free, no card needed. After that, choose a plan to keep using Rewritly.
- Payments are handled by Dodo Payments. Cancel anytime.
- Rewritly uses AI models from Anthropic and OpenAI, so their usage rules apply to what you send.
- AI can make mistakes. Read the result before you send it.
1. Who we are
Rewritly is operated by [Company legal name], Jaipur, India 302012 ("Rewritly", "we", "us"). Contact: sunilkm2610@gmail.com.
2. Your account
- You need to be at least 13, or the minimum age in your country. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms.
- Keep access to your email and your signed-in devices secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- One account is for one person. Don't share it or resell access.
3. Free trial
New accounts get a 7-day free trial with full features and no payment details needed. When it ends, Rewritly pauses until you choose a plan. You're never charged automatically when a trial ends.
4. Plans, billing and cancellation
- Plans: Quarterly ($19 every 3 months) or Yearly ($49 per year). Prices are in US dollars, and sales tax or VAT may be added where it applies.
- Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, which sells the subscription to you as the merchant of record. Their terms of use and privacy policy also apply to your purchase. We never see your card details.
- Renewal: plans renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime from your account page (Manage billing). Rewritly keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- Refunds: if you were charged by mistake or Rewritly didn't work for you, email sunilkm2610@gmail.com within 14 days of the charge and we'll refund it. This doesn't limit any refund rights you have by law.
- Failed payments: if a renewal fails, Rewritly keeps working for up to 14 days while you update your payment method.
- Price changes: we'll email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
5. AI models and their rules
Rewritly doesn't build its own AI models. Your requests go through OpenRouter to models from Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI. When you use Rewritly, you also agree to follow their rules on acceptable use:
These providers decide what their models will and won't do. Rewritly can't change that. If a request breaks their rules, the model may refuse it, and repeated misuse can get your Rewritly account closed.
6. Your writing
- You own your text and the results Rewritly gives you, to the extent the law allows. We claim no rights to them.
- We don't store your text. It passes through our server to the AI model and back, and isn't saved. See our Privacy Policy.
- Check the results. AI can be wrong, change your meaning or miss context. You're responsible for what you send, publish or rely on. Don't use Rewritly as your only source for legal, medical, financial or other professional matters.
- Only send text you have the right to use, and that you're allowed to share with the AI services above.
7. Fair use
Please don't:
- Use Rewritly for anything illegal, harmful, hateful, harassing, or for spam or fraud
- Try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around Rewritly's limits or security
- Use scripts or bots to send requests, or resell Rewritly's AI access
- Pretend to be someone else, or use someone else's account
To keep Rewritly fast and affordable for everyone, there's a limit on requests per hour. Normal personal use won't reach it.
8. The Rewritly app
We give you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use the Rewritly app while your account is in good standing. Rewritly, its design and its code belong to us. On a Mac, Rewritly needs Accessibility permission to work. It's used only as described in our Privacy Policy. Rewritly may update itself to fix problems and add improvements.
9. Changes and availability
We work hard to keep Rewritly running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or when an AI provider has an outage. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever shut Rewritly down, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused part of any paid plan.
10. Ending your account
You can stop using Rewritly and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Unless it's for misuse, we'll warn you first and refund the unused part of your plan.
11. Disclaimer
Rewritly is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't guarantee that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that AI results will be accurate or fit a particular purpose.
12. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Rewritly isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, data or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll email you at least 14 days before they apply. If you keep using Rewritly after that, the new terms apply. If you don't agree, you can cancel.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [country / state]. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protections of the laws where you live.
